homeless. this is in san francisco. it ripped through several apartment buildings. that fire broke out just after 9:30 yesterday morning on 23rd street, quickly spread to the near by buildings. firefighters worked for almost 2 the hours to contain it. 5 unit buildings were involved. three of them appear to be a total loss. no one was injured. the red cross is helping people forced out of their homes. they're opening up a center today for those people. >>> police announced the arrest of three more suspects in the murder of a man. raveesh kumar kumra former own of the famed mountain winery was killed during a home invasion on november 30th. police say that lucas anderson, javier garcia and deanglo austin were arrested. 22-year-old raven dixon was also arrested. police are not released details about what led to the arrest or the relationships between the suspects. three major cities with two days to go oakland is at 130 homicides for the year. 26% increase from 2011. san francisco 67 homicides so far. 1/3 increase over last night. san jose is 45, still low for a city of almost a million people

close to freeze, not quite but definitely cold. san francisco a little more mild mid-40s there. so by this afternoon, we are going to see a lot of low to mid-50s. these temperatures are going to feel slightly cooler actually than what we even saw yesterday. so let's hit the roads and talk traffic right now. we'll take you out towards the dublin interchange. once again the roads are dry for now. and it l.a.x. like it's going to stay that -- it looks like it's going to stay that way for much of the morning. the commute, if you want to call it that, has been exceptionally quiet. i just checked in with our chp reports that have all the latest incidents and there's nothing on there right now. so westbound 580 looks great. heading towards the dublin interchange, we can take you to our maps and show you the drive time for had stretch. 15 minutes still in the green between the altamont pass to the dublin interchange. there may still be some roadwork on the eastbound lanes of 580 through livermore. not causing much of a delay at all at this point and a quick look out in the east bay. the ni

people like dianne feinstein, who herself was a concealed carry holder when she was in san francisco and the likes of chuck schumer and jay rockefeller who owned an ar15 and michael moore and so many of these elites. now we have the demonization of people who suggest that maybe it should be local school districts and communities that take matters into their own hands. i pointed to a great example here in my own home state of colorado. in west cliff colorado where a local city councilman wrote me and told me about a sheriff's jut reach program to citizen volunteers who have been protecting their local school district for ten years now, getting training and working jointly with the sheriff's departments. i think that andrew cuomo maybe ought to talk to his brother, chris cuomo, who himself a member of that liberal democratic family has also endorsed the idea of armed guards in school districts. there are so many other things that do not infringe upon liberty or the second amendment that could go much further along towards preventing the next mass tragedy than what they are proposing no

york, laguardia, jfk. boston as well. laguardia to newark to boston. san francisco has had four-hour delays. now 3 1/2 hours and it is weather-related there, too. ft. lauderdale is having a volume issue. this is the exiting storm, this rain that is leaving. skies are drying out but temperatures will drop precipitously. this is where the travel will really get tough. rochester, buffalo, six to 12 inches of knsnow coming for the. washington, baltimore, clears out for tomorrow and sunday. although it will still be windy. there's the heavy snow in western new york. driving i-90 through the weekend is really difficult. as we head towards sunday, this is the biggest travel headache from seattle all the way down to san francisco. northern california does some very heavy rain and wind for the next couple of days. lisa? >> sounds like everyone is going to have to really be patient as they try to get home for the holidays. >> yes. >> alexandra, thanks. it's not going to be easy but we'll see, hopefully it won't be too much of a travel headache. >> patience is important. lisa, thank you. >

, but we're seeing similar delays in places like omaha, tulsa, san francisco, salt lake city also experiencing some major delays because of those weather systems out west. the national weather service issuing winter storm warnings for states like oklahoma and arkansas as well as the southeast which is bracing for severe weather as well. a lot of travelers or we spoke with this morning said they planned very early travel plans in hope os of dodging the later delays we may see later on especially as those storms continue to develop not only in the pacific northwest, but also in the southeast. but conditions are deteriorating here, we're seeing a lot of people saying that they're waiting on the tarmac for up to an hour before their flights take off. that being said, as long as they're home for christmas, a lot of them say they're very, very happy. and one thing i do want to mention, heather, is that we are expecting some serious weather after christmas, so people are already planning for those delays, and they say if you're in that area that's going to get hit, be aware, be prepared.
